Why a Charter School Residency?

Every young person needs an advocate, a helping hand and a listening ear along the path to success. At New Visions Charter High Schools, we believe that all students should have equal access to educational opportunities. Our school communities are open and inclusive learning environments where teachers support all students by personalizing instruction to meet their needs.

As a resident in one of our charter high schools, you will become an integral part of your students’ success. You will benefit from one-on-one support and partnership with an experienced mentor teacher in a shared team-teaching class. You’ll also be able to earn your master’s degree in secondary education for grades 7-12 and your certification in special education.

“There always is a teacher to help me. My principal knows me personally. My school really helped me with everything, kept me on track.” Ajifanta M., Student at New Visions Charter High School
for Advanced Math and Science
