MicroCert Terms & Conditions

New Visions is covering the course fees for educators who work in a New Visions school (charter or district). Participants working outside the New Visions network may wish to discuss course payment with their school administration.  New Visions is a certified DOE vendor.  In lieu of online payment, teachers can speak with their administration to pay via a purchase order.

Please see course syllabus for all course meeting dates and holiday schedules.  Course meeting times and locations are subject to change.

Participants may withdraw from a course and receive a refund (less a $10.00 processing fee) provided they send a written request no less than two (2) weeks prior to the course start date.  If a participant enrolls in a course and withdraws fewer than two (2) weeks prior to this day, no refund will be provided. All refund requests must be made in writing by e-mailing microcert@newvisions.org.  Please note that the New York City Department of Education has their own policies about refunds, which may differ from those of New Visions.

New Visions PD courses are After School Professional Development Program (ASPDP)/New York City Department of Education (NYCDOE) approved. To be eligible for NYC DOE P Credits for these courses, participants must register and pay their fee of $45 per credit directly through ASPDP. Participants must visit http://schools.nyc.gov/teachers/ASPDP to complete the registration, where participants can either create an account or log on to their existing ASPDP account, then choose the “Enroll & Pay for Courses” link. Any participant who does not complete this enrollment process on the ASPDP website by the registration close date will not be eligible for P Credits. Please note that the New York City Department of Education has their own policies about refunds. Please email ASPDP at ASPDP@schools.nyc.gov should you need more information.

New Visions is  also an approved CTLE (Continuing Teacher and Leader Education) provider. Participating in MicroCert courses counts toward the 100 required hours of Continuing Teacher and Leader Education (CTLE) that teachers in New York State must accumulate every 5 years.
